EduFriends was created and is owner-managed by Saretta Louw

Saretta is the author and co-author of over 70 educational guides, modules and books. She is an educator with more than 25 years of educational experience, including Head of Department of the Foundation Phase at Gene Louw – one of Cape Town’s top primary schools and later as Head of the Foundation Phase when the private school, Curro was established.
Saretta also served on numerous Educational Curriculum Committees in a number of subjects and is highly regarded by her peers and the Educational Authorities.

“EDUFRIENDS came about, because all my life as teacher I enjoyed sharing ideas, making things more interesting and easier for both learners and educators. When we began using reading programmes that inspired learners to read, I realised that learners also needed a solid foundation in phonics and spelling rules (in grade 3) so that they could spell and write just as well. There was a great need for an Afrikaans and English programme in phonics and spelling that could be used in dual medium classes.

Although EDUFRIENDS is a well-established and thoroughly tested product I still consider it a work in progress and would love feedback – good or bad and any new ideas or questions that you might have. Please feel free to contact me at any time or just pop in for a cup of coffee and a chat."
